All free browser-based tools

Every tool runs 100% in your browser — offline-capable, no account needed, files never leave your device.

No tools match your search Try “pdf”, “image”, “json”, “qr” or browse categories above.

Privacy isn’t a feature here.
It’s the architecture.

Most online file tools upload your documents to their servers before doing anything. FileForge is different: the processing code is delivered to your browser, and your files are transformed right there on your device.

  • No uploads. Files never leave your device — you could pull the network cable mid-conversion.
  • No accounts. Every tool works instantly, with no sign-up or email required.
  • No file storage. When you close the tab, your data is gone from memory. We couldn’t leak it even if we wanted to.
  • Honest by design. If a future tool ever needs a server, we’ll label it clearly instead of pretending it’s local.

Instantly fast

No round-trip to a server. Processing starts the moment you click and usually finishes in under a second.

Truly private

Contracts, IDs, medical scans, photos — whatever you process stays on your hardware. Period.

Free forever

No trials, no premium tiers holding features hostage, no watermarks on your output. Just tools.

How FileForge works

Three steps, zero friction — the same private flow for every browser-based file tool.

Pick a tool

Search or browse categories. Each tool opens directly at its own link — bookmarkable and shareable.

Drop your files

Drag files onto the page or click to browse. They’re read straight into your browser’s memory.

Download the result

Adjust options, hit Process, preview the output and download instantly. Nothing was uploaded along the way.

Frequently asked questions about FileForge

Are my files really never uploaded?
Correct. Every tool on FileForge runs as JavaScript inside your browser tab. Your file is read from disk into memory, processed locally, and offered back to you as a download. You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s network inspector while using any tool — no file data is transmitted. Once a page has loaded, the tools even work offline.
Is FileForge really free? What’s the catch?
There’s no catch. Because processing happens on your device rather than on paid servers, each tool costs us essentially nothing to run — so everything stays free, with no watermarks and no locked “pro” features.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts, no email forms and no logins anywhere on the site. Open a tool and use it.
What are the file size limits?
Since nothing is uploaded, there are no server limits — only your device’s memory. Each tool lists a comfortable recommended limit (usually 30–100 MB per file). Very large files may be slow on older machines because your CPU does all the work.
Which browsers are supported?
Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Opera, on desktop, tablet and mobile. FileForge is designed to work well even on modest hardware.
Can I use FileForge offline?
Yes — after a tool page has loaded, all processing runs locally, so an interrupted connection won’t stop a conversion that’s already underway, and reloading a cached page keeps working without a network.
